SELWYN ISAKOW is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Oxford. Since 1985, he has evaluated and financed acquisitions, developed business strategies and overseen the implementation of investment strategies of portfolio companies. Mr. Isakow acts as Chairman of portfolio companies and a New York Stock Exchange listed company.He also serves on the Board of Directors of various civic organizations.
Mr. Isakow has lead several roll-ups in the plastics, rubber components, metal forming, fastener and tool and die segments of the automotive industry with aggregate global revenues of about $2 billion as well as numerous other industries. He is also founder and majority shareholder of three banks focusing on the private banking market. This banking group operates as The Private Bank and includes a mortgage company, wealth management group and provides trust services.
Mr. Isakow was previously Executive Vice President and member of the Chairman's Executive Team at Comerica, Incorporated, a major regional bank holding company.
As a principal at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Management Consultants, he developed corporate strategies in a broad array of industries and headed the firm's consulting practice for the financial services industry in the Western United States.
Mr. Isakow has an MBA with distinction from The Wharton Business School, where he was also a Teaching Fellow. He has an undergraduate degree and two post‑graduate degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with honors.
REX SCHLAYBAUGH is Vice Chairman of Oxford.His responsibilities include overseeing portfolio company activities, acquisition review and selection and management of capital market and financing activities for portfolio companies.
Mr. Schlaybaugh also serves as Chairman of the Management Committee of Dykema Gossett PLLC, a national law firm headquartered in Detroit, Michigan.
Mr. Schlaybaugh has practiced law for 30 years specializing in mergers and acquisitions, finance and corporate law matters.Mr. Schlaybaugh has served on a number of boards of directors including The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.), The Bank of Bloomfield Hills, and the Michigan State Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Schlaybaugh is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Oakland University.Mr. Schlaybaugh has a B.A. in Economics from Albion College and a J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law.
MICHAEL J. BALTOSIEWICH, CPA
is responsible for sourcing transactions, acquisition review, acquisition selection and financing activities for portfolio companies. He is located in The Oxford Investment Group's Michigan office.
Mr. Baltosiewich is a former partner and member of the management committee of the Certified Public Accounting firm of Plante & Moran. He was Executive VP and CFO for a computer dealer and lessor where he closed lease transactions of approximately one half a billion dollars per year, developed a public income fund and organized the sale of the company to a public insurance company. He was the General Manager and CFO for the largest electrical contractor in the Midwest for which he implemented an ESOP. He was also the Executive VP and CFO for an IT services company based in the Midwest, assisted in its development into a market leader and eventually organized its sale to a public IT services company.
Mr. Baltosiewich has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Detroit.
JAMES NIU is a Managing Director of The Oxford Investment Group-China. The Shanghai office facilitates corporate and real estate investments in China and assists Oxford's global portfolio companies and select partners outsourcing and market entry activities.
Dr. Niu's primary activities include leading the analysis and due diligence of potential investment/acquisition candidates, consulting and market entry assignments, supporting various activities related to Oxford portfolio companies, as well as managing the Shanghai office and staff activities.
Prior to joining Oxford Dr. Niu was a managing partner at Maxwin Business Consulting, a management consulting firm in Shanghai, China. Dr. Niu also held a position as a senior management consultant at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, where he supported and led projects across a wide variety of industries including financial services, pharmaceutical, retail, real estate, manufacturing and hi-tech. Prior to that, Mr. Niu worked as a risk manager for institutional clients at American Express Company in New York City, US.
Dr. Niu received his Bachelor of Science with honor from Peking University, China. He received his Ph.D in Molecular Biology from Cornell University, USA.
